RACE SCHEDULE & ROUTES
Crofton's Dam Race takes you through the waters of Lewis & Clark Lake, the trails at Lewis & Clark State Recreation area and along the most scenic paved highway in Northeast Nebraska. Here's a race-day schedule and route maps. Please watch your email for updates to the schedule as they are subject to change.
FRIDAY
5:00 p.m. Registration closed
5-8 p.m. Spaghetti Feed at Haymarket (105 Main St., Crofton)
5:15 p.m. Kid's Triathlon registration and race
at the Crofton Swimming Pool
6-8 p.m. Packet pickup at Haymarket (105 Main St., Crofton)
SATURDAY - RACE DAY!
6:00 a.m. Final opportunity to pick up packets at Weigand Swim Beach
7:00 a.m. Half Marathon starts
7:15 a.m. Army National Guard Fly-in & National Anthem
7:30 a.m. Welcome from race committee
8:00 a.m. Triathlon start with kayaks
9:00 a.m. Individual biker race starts 10 minutes
after the first triathlon biker
10:30 a.m. Crofton Haymarket open for food, drinks and camaraderie
11:00 a.m. First bus transport from Crofton to Weigand
12:30 p.m. Awards at Crofton Haymarket, Main Street
starts approx. 15 minutes after final finisher
1:00 p.m. Bus transport from Crofton to Weigand
2:00 p.m. Final bus transport from Crofton to Weigand
BIKE ROUTE - 12 MILES
This bike route takes you east of Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area along paved Highway 54C and south on State Hwy 121 to Main Street Crofton for the finish. It's a high altitude scenic ride that you'll never forget. This route pertains to both triathlon bikers and individual bikers.
TRIATHLON 5K RUN
Once completed with the kayak portion of the triathlon, participants will appreciate an all-paved 5K route through the Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area.
KAYAK ROUTE - 1.5 MILES
Kayakers kick-off the triathlon from the Weigand Swim Beach at Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area. The kayak route is 1.5 miles along the shores of Lewis & Clark Lake. Shotgun start with waves of 10-12 kayakers.
HALF MARATHON ROUTE - 13.1 MILES
This Half Marathon route takes you east of the Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area along paved Highway 54C, south on Hwy 121 and onto Main Street Crofton for a finish line celebration. It's a high altitude scenic run that you'll never forget.
