Every year brings a new batch of competitors to Crofton's Dam Race. While everyone get's a high five, these champs take home the hardware and deserve some DAM love!

In 2022, The Crofton’s Dam Race committee introduced the “Spirit of the Jorts” award inspired by Neal Neuhalfen, a Crofton native who embraces the tenacity, energy and fun of the race. Neal did the full triathlon in cut off jean shorts the first year and he continues to compete every year.
Our first "Spirit of the Jorts" award goes to Justice Evans and Sasha Labrenz, both from Yankton, SD.
